Odette Swan Lake original oil painting on canvas, woman transforming into a swan beside a mist-covered lake
02
Odette
...the moment when she has accepted a painful fate—she was not chosen, and some things cannot be changed...
Older now, Alice stands before a mirror, convinced that the strange world she once fell into is finally behind her. But the reflection tells a different story. Beyond the glass, Wonderland still holds her captive. In a fleeting moment of realization, surprise gives way to fear. The mirror becomes more than a reflection—it becomes a doorway to the truth she was not ready to face. "Teenage Alice" explores the fragile boundary between escape and illusion, and the unsettling possibility that sometimes, the places we believe we have left behind are still within us.

Nymph draws inspiration from Greek mythology and the beauty of nature in Matsumoto, Japan. Nestled among the mountains, the region comes alive in spring with the blooming of wisteria (fuji), whose cascading violet flowers transform the landscape with both color and fragrance. In this work, I imagined a nymph emerging from these blossoms—a spirit of nature embodying renewal, beauty, and the fleeting magic of spring. The painting is a tribute to the harmony between myth and the natural world that surrounds us.

A young girl emerges from the quiet tension between light and shadow, rendered in watercolor and soft pastel. Devoid of color, the image relies solely on tonal values—stripping the scene to its emotional core. Through chiaroscuro, light does not simply reveal form; it exposes a state of being. Darkness surrounds her, yet gently yields to the fragile illumination that defines her presence. In this contrast, a subtle narrative unfolds—one of introspection, silence, and unspoken feeling. Melancholy is not portrayed as despair, but as a delicate, almost sacred pause in time. This piece invites the viewer to linger in that stillness, to find beauty within restraint, and to connect with the quiet depth of human emotion.

An aged Virgin Mary stands in quiet contemplation, her gaze fixed upon a distant light. Time has marked her face, yet not diminished the depth of her faith. In that light, she recalls the moment of sacrifice—the instant her son gave himself for all humanity. Darkness encroaches, swallowing the space around her, yet she does not turn away. Her eyes remain steady, unwavering. Within that fragile glow lives her hope: the belief that his sacrifice was not in vain, that even in the deepest shadow, humanity still carries the possibility of redemption. This piece explores the tension between despair and faith, between the weight of loss and the quiet, enduring strength of devotion. Executed in watercolor, the work challenges the medium’s traditional delicacy, pushing it toward a depth and density more commonly associated with oil painting.

The Passage of Time Through Our Gaze at Nature A gaze suspended in time, where nature ceases to be something we observe and becomes something that inhabits us. A flower emerges from the eye as an extension of the sensitive, while a small living creature moves across its surface, transforming the gaze into a world of its own. The work invites reflection on our relationship with nature and the inevitable passage of time: observing, being observed, and becoming part of what we believe we are merely contemplating.

A graphite portrait that captures the raw intensity of youth, rebellion, and feminine power. The young woman biting a chain becomes a symbol of defiance and desire — a balance between sensuality and strength. Through deep shadows, delicate textures, and expressive contrasts, the artwork explores the emotional force hidden behind a single gaze and gesture. Created entirely in graphite, the piece highlights the beauty of monochrome realism while emphasizing attitude, independence, and the untamed energy of femini

A charcoal portrait that emerges through movement, instinct, and controlled chaos. The face of an Asian woman appears hidden within a storm of rapid, erratic strokes — blurred lines, soft shadows, and fragmented textures that give the artwork a raw sense of energy and emotion. Rather than seeking perfect definition, the piece embraces spontaneity and motion. The scattered and smoky lines create an atmosphere where the portrait feels alive, as if it were appearing and dissolving at the same time. Through this expressive approach, the artwork explores beauty within imperfection, tension, and abstraction.

A charcoal illustration of Marilyn Monroe, reimagined with a provocative and playful attitude. With her tongue out and an unapologetic expression, the artwork breaks away from the classic glamorous portrait, revealing a more rebellious and untamed side of the Hollywood icon. Using the raw textures and dramatic contrasts of charcoal, the piece blends sensuality, attitude, and pop culture energy — paying tribute to one of the most recognizable symbols of both Hollywood’s golden age and modern artistic expression.

Alice in Bloom
A surreal moment from a very unusual tea party.

Alice appears from inside a flower-shaped coffee cup, as if she has suddenly become small enough to find herself among coffee beans and an oversized world.
