Slowly transforming into a swan...

Odette

Inspired by Swan Lake

Oil on canvas

Seated on a stone beside a mist-covered lake, Odette quietly accepts a fate she cannot change. Her solemn expression reflects the moment when she realizes she has not been chosen, while delicate feathers begin to emerge from her hands and arms as she slowly transforms into a swan.

The painting is dominated by whites and pale values, creating a peaceful, dreamlike atmosphere where the lake disappears into the mist.

I have always been fascinated by the story of Swan Lake, and Odette is the first piece in a collection I hope to continue developing around its characters and themes.

I submitted this artwork to a competition, but unfortunately, it was not selected. Still, this is only one step in the journey. I will continue creating, learning, and presenting my work, determined to share my art and my vision with the world.
